For CNC lathes, there are generally three directions of motion for cutting tools or workpieces: X axis, Y axis, and Z axis, which are commonly referred to as the horizontal axis, number axis, and Z axis perpendicular to these two axes. During the operation of CNC lathes, we sometimes find that there is shaking noise when the workpiece or cutting tool moves on the Z axis. When encountering this situation, we first need to understand the cause of this situation. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain the main reasons for the directional shaking noise on the Z axis of CNC lathes.
The possible reasons for the loud sound of the Z-axis guide rail on the CNC lathe are as follows
1. The dynamic balance of the spindle components is not good, please redo the dynamic balance.
2. Uneven or severely damaged gear meshing spacing, adjust the spacing or replace the gear.
3. Damaged bearings or bent drive shaft, repair or replace bearings, straighten drive shaft.
4. The length of the drive belt is inconsistent or too loose. Adjust or replace the drive belt.
5. Replace the gear due to poor gear accuracy.
6. Poor lubrication, adjust the lubricating oil.
There are three culprits for the shaking in the Z-axis direction. One is that the screw bearing of the Z-axis is broken, the other is the opening and closing nut of the Z-axis, and finally, the pressure strip of the large support plate is worn. What you found is the connection between the screw and the motor. You can check these three places, and the reason must be one or all of them. My experience needs to be examined first. It is possible that it is servo resonance. You can try adjusting the servo gain. If it does not work, you need to replace the servo amplifier or servo motor. The integral bed plate increases the rigidity of the machine tool, and the 45 ° inclined bed body is conducive to the up and down movement of workpieces and the discharge of iron filings. X. The Z-direction adopts imported linear rolling guide rails, reducing machine wear. The oversized preloading of the rolling guide rails reduces rail clearance and increases machining accuracy.
The above is the main causes of directional shaking noise in the Z-axis of CNC lathes compiled and released by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when operating CNC lathes in the future.
